Image Maps:
Example of a poorly labeled image map. Ohio State University of Cincinnati Coker College United States Postal Service Doritos are GREAT!

This is an image of a green frog. There are 5 hot spots.

This clip art image has five links (hotspots) placed on it. Can you find them all?

Because the links are not clearly marked nor intuitive the user has to rely on the cursor to find each link.

Did you notice that each link had it's own alternative text tag indicating where the hotspot takes the user? Again, this is especially important to the user viewing the image with their graphics turned off or to someone using a screen reader.

Also, the image itself has a descriptive ALT tag.
