MWAS 12 – Scripting

  • Must be able to access script results with assistive technology.

  • Common problems:

    • form entry scripts (reload page)

    • Jump menus (unable to select all options)

    • Mouse Events (onmouseover, onmouseout)

When pages utilize scripting languages to display content, or to create interface elements, the information provided by the script shall be identified with functional text that can be read by assistive technology.
